Art in 2nd class

2nd class are such a creative, artistic bunch! They have been very busy doing lots of lovely art. They created minecraft self portraits and Autumn leaf printing flowers. The children also added to our Sacred space by decorating their own candles for their Holy Communion. This week they also explored line and Autumn colours using pencils and oil pastels to create lovely Autumn pictures.

STEM - Back to school task

2nd class had lots of fun exploring a STEM task over the last 2 weeks. Their task was to create something that they might see in a school in the future. We discussed a lot of potential problems that schools might face in the future e.g. heavy school bags, lack of nature, using too much electricity, too much rubbish etc. and the children came up with lots of creative solutions. They were incredibly innovative and worked so hard on their creations.

Maths Games - 2nd class

We have had a great first full week in 2nd class. The children did lovely art work, beautiful writing and played so nicely in the yard. We finished the week with a fun maths games today using some UNO cards. It was lots of fun!
