Ms. Dervan's 4th & 5th class

We had fun this week learning about beebots. First we used the Interactive whiteboard to learn about how to give instructions to get the bee to move forwards, backwards, left and right. Then we used the ipads to try it for ourselves. The children really enjoyed this and I definitely think we have some future coders in this classroom. Then we tried the beebots in groups and used different beebot mats and mazes to experiment with coding. It was lots of fun. 

We had a special play time this week with the Senior Infants having lots of fun in my room and Junior Infants playing with the 1st class in Ms. Rafter's room. The children were so excited to play with the other class. The children created such cool LEGO and junk art creations. They had lots of fun with plus plus and kinetic sand too! They are all looking forward to doing it again soon!
