We were very busy last week exploring measures in Junior Infants. We were exploring capacity and have been learning about - full, empty, half full, almost full and almost empty. Junior Infants had lots of fun at the water, sand and rice station exploring these concepts. They were excellent at comparing containers and using the new words to describe their containers. We also explored length and height at two stations where children built tall towers, long snakes and long chains. Again, they were excellent at comparing different towers and chains using their maths vocabulary e.g. long, longer, longest, short, shorter, shortest, tall, taller, tallest.
Look at the lovely steps going from short to tall. Super work!
