Ms. Dervan's 2nd class

Amazing costumes today for our Halloween dress up day! The children loved dressing up for Halloween and enjoyed the Halloween parade where they got a chance to show off their costumes and look at the amazing costumes across the school. Happy Halloween Everyone!!!

2nd class are such a creative, artistic bunch! They have been very busy doing lots of lovely art. They created minecraft self portraits and Autumn leaf printing flowers. The children also added to our Sacred space by decorating their own candles for their Holy Communion. This week they also explored line and Autumn colours using pencils and oil pastels to create lovely Autumn pictures.

2nd class had lots of fun exploring a STEM task over the last 2 weeks. Their task was to create something that they might see in a school in the future. We discussed a lot of potential problems that schools might face in the future e.g. heavy school bags, lack of nature, using too much electricity, too much rubbish etc. and the children came up with lots of creative solutions. They were incredibly innovative and worked so hard on their creations.
