The children loved making Valentine's cards. We painted them using pink and red paint. Then the children cut them out and wrote messages. It was lots of fun!

Science - Towers around the world

This week in Science we were learning about different towers around the world - The Eiffel Tower, Shanghai Tower, Space Needle, Leaning Tower of Pisa and a round tower in Ireland. We saw some pictures of tall towers, round towers and some unusual looking towers. Then the children were given a task to build a tower with their friends using a range of different blocks and materials e.g. plastic cups, wooden blocks, old recycled materials, straws, big plastic blocks etc. Some children created replicas of the towers we learned about. Others made towers using their imagination. I think we have some future engineers in this classroom!

School Tour Turoe Pet Farm 2023

Junior and Senior Infants had such a blast on their school tour to Turoe Pet Farm. They loved all the different play areas. There were some lovely playgrounds to enjoy and a pitch to play soccer. They loved walking around the pet farm to see all the lovely animals and even fed lots of the animals too! The giant bouncing castle was a big hit. It was such a nice day and a lovely school tour for all.

Halloween

We had lots of fun today in Junior and Senior Infants. It was so lovely to see all the very creative and spooky Halloween costumes. The children really enjoyed the costume parade outside where they got to show off their costume and see all the children in the other classes too! We also had fun reading a Halloween story, listening to Halloween music and doing some Halloween activities. Happy Halloween!
